As a doctor of chiropractic, Dr. Allison believes in the body’s power to heal, and is in awe of the miracles that happen every day. She has a deep love for chiropractic because it works with the body, continually preventing invading sickness and preserving mobility. Whether it’s our prenatal chiropractic patients, the children we see, our athletes or our senior patients —chiropractic can help you do the activities you love to do!
She became a chiropractor to not only help people deal with pain, but to correct all underlying problems and allow the body to create true health. That is why she loves to care for babies, children and families alike. “I’ve always had a passion to want to help the people near me”.
It took her some time to find her way to Chiropractic. She worked for six years managing retail stores before deciding it was time for a change. Dr. Allison went back to school at the age of 30, starting in the nursing program at St. Ambrose University in Davenport Iowa. After realizing nursing was not the right path, she focused on Biology, thinking medical school would be her next endeavor. She had always felt a passion for helping people, but after shadowing various medical doctors, it was clear she wasn’t going to be able to make the connections she desired. Her goal was to help people regain and maintain their health while also making human connections. That is when she discovered chiropractic, took a tour at Palmer College of Chiropractic and was instantly hooked!
Dr. Allison’s time at Palmer opened her eyes to a way of health that is natural. She developed a passion for the natural healing capacity the body has and it’s innate ability within. She became a chiropractor to not only help people deal with pain, but to correct all underlying problems and allow the body to create true health. That is why she lives to care for babies, children and families alike. It is also what prompted her to further her education through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. She loves starting people off from infancy on a path to natural creation of health that will allow their bodies to be fully functioning for their entire life.
Dr. Allison wakes up everyday excited to work with the people that allow her to have such an impact in their lives. She is thrilled to be back in central Iowa serving the community!
